Mission: Recognizing that young people need to understand Long Island's marine environment, since they will one day inherit it and need to protect it, the Sport Fishing Education Center offers educational programs to almost 10,000 youngsters each year. Another 400 attend Jr. Sea Explorers Marine Summer Camp at the marine center and learn to appreciate the marine life populating the Great South Bay and the surronding Ocean.

Facility Description: A classroom, tanks, touch-it tank and demonstration aquaculture facility at Barrier Beach location. Center is on the salt marsh, short walk to the beach.
