Mission: To provide residents of the Town of Brookhaven with hands-on environmental education opportunities.
Target Audience: School-age children, civic groups, and general public.
Facility Description: Educational facility/visitors center. The Nature Center is located within the Town's marine/beach complex at Mt. Sinai. The facility has a 500-foot boardwalk, inside displays, touch tanks and a shellfish mariculture program.
Facilities for People with Special Needs: Facility is handicapped accessible.
Types of Programs and Resources Offered: Educational programs for the public, educational programs for school groups, tours, field trips, in-school programs, and teacher training.
