Topics Addressed: Long Island Traditions examines the cultural activities and resources of maritime communities. These include: traditional maritime occupations, architectural resources including bay houses, historical patterns, shellfishing history, oral histories of fishermen and baymen, historical events including rum running, weather-related events such as hurricanes, and boat building.
